Lean on Me!!!

Lately I have really been enjoying leaning my favorite plates and my latest obsession metal tray's against the back of my alternate storage aka Kitchen bookshelf it just adds that bit of shall we say artwork to the back of an otherwise very boring bookshelf!

The rose serving plate was given to my by my friend and the milk glass oyster holder was bought if my memory serves me correct for $5 and the metal tray was a steal at a mere $1 at salvation army! I love finds like that! It makes me very excited to have a soiree. I'm going to use my new metal tray to serve champagne from my vintage glasses.....very posh darlings!!!!

A Mystical Weekend!

This weekend was a very busy weekend. On Saturday I finally made it to the Brooklyn Flea market which was very hot and hectic. I saw some interesting pieces but my favorite was the glass holder with a Canadian whiskey advert attached to it. Have to represent for the Canadians eh!! On Sunday I took a mini road trip with my friend, we brought her son to camp in Rhode Island. It was a very nice drive on the way there we stopped in Mystic Connecticut and went to the infamous Mystic Pizza.....Yum Yum!!! On the way back we stopped at her friends beach house to say hi it was such a beautiful home that backed right onto the beach, It definitely made me think I want a beach house someday!!! A girl can dream of course.

Once upon a time.......

There was this beautiful princess and this prince met fell in love and they lived happily ever after! I love fairytales with a happy ending because in life everyone deserves a happy ending, that is why I came up with my latest cross stitch "And they lived happily ever after"
My friend was married and bought a home a few months ago I decided to cross stitch and frame my latest cross stitch for them as a present and they loved it. I also have it framed in a hoop in my apartment it's my favorite cross stitch because it is sweet for new couples.

New Finds!!!

I live in this adorable little brownstone in Bushwick which apparently is the up and coming neighbourhood in Brooklyn they even have a cute hostel here called New York Loft Hostel I found it in the autumn H&M magazine!

Of course when you rent in a brownstone some things are old and can't be changed, my bathroom is a prime example it is tiled white from the bottom halfway up with what looks like seafoam green trim I wanted to make my bathroom interesting so I decided to make a gallery of pictures I stared with a vintage framed fan from the 1600 or 1700's and found two more pictures from some guys selling them on the side of the street on 23rd btw Lexington and 3rd. Basically I want every picture to have the green accent so that it will bring out the lovely green tile border. So here is the beginning of my bathroom gallery!
