Fresh Direct!!!

Directly from Canada that is! I was so excited when I heard that Joe Fresh was making it's way over to the NYC, every thing is great and affordable the children's clothes are awesome! here are a few things that I am of course coveting..... there are no words for the love lust for the beautifully knit sweater  I heart in the worst way!!! It is most def on my Christmas list.

What I've Been up to!

Last month was a busy month Jakob came to visit, I had a little birthday soiree at my apartment and just running around with work. During that time I was trying to get my apartment in ship shape for the guests so Jakob and I finally took the ferry over to Ikea to get the super affordable Rast dresser and pimp it up! I had this vision of black and gold and here is my final result I have to say that we are quite chuffed with ourselves on our handiwork! I purchased the books from strand on the carts outside which ranged from 49 cents for black beauty and up to two dollars for Charles Dickens. I love the way the colors of the books work with the flower and fruit painting. I have to say this is one of my favorite spots in my house.....and not because it has the minibar :)

Trophy Wife!

For the past few years I have been scouring the markets to find a vintage trophy to add to my home and this is the perfect one, I love how beautiful the flowers look. Sorry for the short posts been very busy but will show you my completed project that Jakob and I worked together on and some of my latest vintage finds soon :)

Milk Glass Lust!

I came across this image of milk glass on Pure Green Magazine a Canadian (yay!) magazine dedicated to all things green. It is beautifully laid out and makes me want to become greener. But what is even more exciting is the milk glass lining the shelf in the adorable little flower shop Coriander Girl which is in my hometown Toronto yay! yay! I had the small vase to the left but unfortunately the munchkin broke it :( but that's ok I am pretty sure I will be able to find it again.

Germany Summer '11

Today I am doing a double post since I missed yesterday these are some of the pictures from my trip to Germany this summer the weather was a little iffy but when it was nice we had fun. My daughter and I visited the pool in Berlin that is on the river, went to Rugen for a nice getaway with Michaela and Jakob.....could not stop taking pictures of the cookie cutter beautiful houses there loved them! Touring around Berlin I found this cute bus that is a coffee shop by Jakob's office.  On the weekends we went to the Mauer Park flea market. I of course was in absolute heaven and after thrifting there was Karaoke which is a huge crowd pleaser. Before we left we spent the weekend in Bamberg visited a castle  and walked by the river enjoying their cute homes on the riverside. Hope you enjoy my pictures and have a wonderful day!

Caravan of Love!

During the summer I spend time with my boyfriend daughter and friends at the house in Montauk and when it is high season it can get very packed. The backyard is very spacious and I always wish there was a cute guest house out back. When I came across this cute caravan I fell in love instantly and if I ever have the chance to have a country home I will definitely invest in one for our guests.

Old School!

When I was in grade school in Canada, I remember that whenever there was an assembley my friend and I always wanted to help unstack and stack the chairs which equaled less class time for me :). A few years ago my mind came across those chairs and I thought how great and easy it would be to paint them white of course, this is my go to for any chair. Today on the sensational blog My Paradissi I found the chairs delightful covered in beautiful prints and a pair I found on a Canadian blog a few months back which I am ashamed to say I don't remember their name. If I ever cross paths with these chairs again I will be extremely excited to give them a new school facelift!

I'm lovin it!!!

Hi all sorry have been away for so long and have so much to show you from my summer holiday in Germany and the things I love! Will get onto that soon but right now I am lovin and coveting an oval wood frame. I saw them in the beautiful window display of  Club Monaco and can't stop thinking about having one.
