Canada Bound!!

I'm going home. Yay!  So excited I can't wait to see all my friends and their babies. There have been so many births I've missed so it will be a big catch up. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Model Apartment!

I came across the wonderful home of Helena Christensen on the Sanctuary blog. I love the Kitschy Chicness of  the whole apartment and that the windows are framed with black paint. I have never been one for a tailored perfectly looking apartment, so this apartment completely suits my style. A def inspiration for my new apartment!

Baby it's Cold Outside!

As the temperature begins to drop I look forward to my favorite winter items. I love being enveloped in a cosy sweater with a thick scarf it so yummy! I have been coveting leather leggings for the past two seasons and have put them on my Christmas list this year fingers crossed! There is this cute store in soho Number 6 on Center Market St in New York and they sell the best shoe that is warm comfortable and stylish I definitely need them to keep my feet warm this winter.

Have a Wonderful Day

Locked Up!

I first came across lockers in the home in a feature of my friend Ben Watt's Montauk home on The Glow. I thought the mix of girlishness with the locker in his adorable daughter Ruby's room was ingenious and have become determined to find one for my home also. Here are some looks I have found that I think would look great.

Top Notch!

Lately I have been noticing that blouses have been buttoned up to the top at first I was skeptical of this look but as usual the more and more I see it, I find that it's not so bad it's kinda  nerdy chic and can offer a polished look to an outfit. Zara has hit the nail on the head with this look and I have tried the look already with my sheer blouse. Tres Chic!

Besotted!

When I came across this rug on a new blog I found A note on Design my jaw dropped I fell instantly in love! I am not big on using color in my home but I have to say this has inspired me to take it into deep consideration. It looks so cheerful and I love the sheepskin over the chair it's a look i will definitely emulate in my home.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

11.11.11

When I was at school in Canada on Remembrance Day everyone would get a poppy to pin on our shirt (sometimes we would make red lips with them) and at 11am we would have a moment of silence for the war vets who were lost. I would like to take this moment to honor all those brave men and women who have served our Country!

On The Block :(

I was reading the Daily Mail UK online and they had an article about Jenna Lyons house up for sale. I have seen her home hosted in many magazines and this view is a new one I have never seen. I love everything about her home and it has been a great inspiration hence the black wall in my apartment. My favorite piece is her couch I have to have that couch it looks so cozy yet chic! It's also great to see her son's room with a grown up bed. Wow how time flies!

Bits n Bob's

I'm an avid vintage shopper and love finding great deals :) Here are a few things I have collected over the past few months The large plate I purchased at the Mauer Park Market in Berlin and the small plate is from Junk on Driggs in Williamsburg I think they make a great pair. The blue and white creamer I also bought in Berlin at a vintage store while the geometric cut glass I found thrifting on 17th street in Manhattan they were all very cheap ranging from $1-$3 gotta love a bargin like that.

I have been seeing these Coach turn lock bags around on fashionista's and I of course had to have one. I love the simplicity of the bag it is very understated. I found these two at a Vintage store in Williamsburg it's my favorite because I hate going into vintage stores when they mark stuff up to crazy prices when you know they got it in middle America for peanuts!! grrrrr needless to say I purchased both bags for a grand total of drum roll please $30!!!! Now that's what I'm talking about! When Michaela and I walked around to other vintage shops they were selling for $89 and not even in mint condition like my little beauties.

Cheers!

The look for Less :)

I was so enamoured by Shala's look that I had to give everyone a chance to try to rock it! I love channeling people and I'm channeling Shala has a nice ring to it. I have no idea where she got her skirt but I am reckoning that it was expensive!  Although I am taken with the mustard look I like to keep it real and realize that fashion is fickle and mustard is.....not going to last forever so thank G for Forever 21 because they offer a great mustard aka Marigold in my world.....sounds nicer ;) skirt for the uber affordable price of $19.80 and of course as I posted before Joe Fresh offers a great denim shirt for $29 and voila you have your look for less! I think I will pair it with a vintage motorcycle jacket since it is getting a little cooler.

Danke

Looks to Love :)

Every season I get excited for a certain look color or feel. This season I love the long skirt especially a flowy skirt paired with a motorcycle jacket and rough boots it looks so devil may care! My best friend Paula always has great style and she has this fabulous over sized jacket that I secretly covet shhhhh :) The scarf and the coat look stylish yet warm with a bit of an eighties twist J'adore! Since we are on the topic of time lines aka circa lets say the 1990's hello mustard!!! So fresh Prince of Bel Air! Every time I see it I swear I will not fall for the look but lo and behold they have lured me in. God Bless Shala for making the look chic! I know I skipped the cozy sweater but it should speak for itself.... I know it's Isabel Marant she is my great designer crush I love love her clothes!
